What is the first word that comes to mind to fill in the blank:
My body is _______.
For many people it is a word of criticism, judgement or comparison. The message to your body being “you are not enough; you are wrong.”
Constantly critiquing your body, comparing it to others and trying to change it is an exhausting and frustrating battle.
I invite you to imagine what it would be like to accept your body as it is.
Accepting something doesn’t mean giving up.
Accepting means that you are consciously aware of the present moment without resistance. This creates openness, space and opportunity.
Acceptance leads to making CONSCIOUS CHOICES without all the judgement and fears clouding your mind. It gives you access to more peace and joy.
Imagine what is possible when you free up all the energy you put into fighting with yourself and your body. What life giving thoughts and activities could you pursue?
So how do you start to accept your body?
I have developed a 6 step process to bring you to the place of body-acceptance and I am offering you the chance to go through this transformation next week in my Facebook group!
Starting Monday 5/17 – Saturday 5/22 I will post information and reflective prompts daily to usher your through this 6 step process. I will also host Facebook Lives at 3:00 PM each day to provide more information and answer questions. All you have to do is commit to taking at least 15 minutes each day to go through the exercise of reflecting, journaling and being with yourself.
Join us on this journey of transformation so you can accept, appreciate, and dare I say begin to love your body! And then imagine what is possible from this place of freedom and conscious choice.
