How I work with clients
I assess your eating habits in relationship to your health concerns in order to provide recommended changes and teach Intuitive Eating principles to empower you to trust your own internal wisdom in nourishing your body. This approach frees you from following rules around what to eat and empowers you to make choices that support your wellbeing.
I use an integrative and functional approach, which honors the uniqueness of each individual and the interconnected aspects of your wellbeing (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual). I seek to address the root causes of your health and nutrition related concerns, not just minimize symptoms. Whether you are struggling with specific health conditions, frustrated with the challenge of changing habits, or both, we will examine the root causes together and work incrementally to address them.
I create an atmosphere of acceptance and compassion while helping you create change with a technique called Motivational Interviewing. Through this process, we work collaboratively to strengthen your motivation and commitment to change through exploring your reasons for wanting change and the barriers that may be holding you back.

15-Minute Free Consultation: This helps us get to know each other before diving into the work.
Intake paperwork: Filled out online by clients before Initial Appointment. Includes Nutrition Assessment and Holistic Health Assessment.
Initial Appointment (75 minutes) – We discuss your medical and dietary history, current eating, exercise, sleeping, self-care habits and your concerns about your health. We will review your goals and begin to work collaboratively to tailor strategies that will work for you.
Follow Up Sessions (50 minutes) – These sessions are key to success. This is when you get the support and accountability you need to make significant lasting change. Sessions may include conversations to uncover underlying factors influencing eating behavior, nutrition education, working through barriers to change, meal planning or other cooking support and more. It is your time to get the support you need.
Additional Support: An online food journal app, document sharing, online messaging and more are available for support in between appointments.
Clients are encouraged to commit to an Initial Appointment and 3-4 Follow Up Sessions for the best results. Package pricing is available as well as sliding scale for those in need. We will discuss this in the free consultation call – schedule yours now!
All appointments are currently telehealth appointments. Telehealth appointments are through the Helathie online platform, a fully encrypted, HIPAA compliant app for your computer or smartphone. This means that what you share with me remains confidential and protected!

How do I get started?

How long will this process take?
The length of time we work together, and how often we meet, is a collaborative decision based on a variety of factors including your goals, lifestyle, readiness to change, support system, and more. I recommend a commitment of at least the Initial Assessment and 3 follow up sessions. I am here to support you for as long as you need so after the first 4 sessions, we can discuss how you want to meet moving forward.
Do you take insurance?
No, I do not take insurance directly. All appointments are considered fee-for-service, which means payment is expected at the time of service. I can provide documentation you can submit to your insurance company to determine if they will cover any of the cost.
Where are you located? Can we meet virtually?
I work out of my home in Brattleboro, Vermont and meet clients in person at Solar Hill (229 Western Ave, Brattleboro, VT). I also meet virtually with clients through secure telehealth video conferencing or phone call.
